Got out this morning for a couple of hours before the wind picked up and had a look from south of Breezy Point to around Ship Island (Zone 14 - covered all the sub-zones in this area), and then crossed to the eastern shore to check out Zone 8 from 1182-1502.
Nothing out of the ordinary to report in terms of plant life. I did have our Portugese water dog, Mobi, with me on the paddle board (she loves to ride and help out) and we were started by a GIANT great blue heron just south of Breezy Point. Absolutely beautiful.
My Labor Day patrol also included subzones 1182-1021 in Zone 9!
