Reporting for Julie Hoyt …. On July 4th she described the usual route she follows when patrolling. She goes from almost the top of zone 4 (her parents’ home is at # 3468) and continues to just about #2997 then she starts off toward the different most northern islands in the Thorne Island group and basically lightly surveys each one along their northern sides (ie Bug Island, Nokomis and the tiny one in between them.) Then she returns home and follows the same route back. Her observations on July 4th: “it’s a pretty clear area with little weeds...just lilies, floating hearts and bur reeds.”
